Hi there,
I’m Jenna Slutzky, founder of The Canine Enrichment Co.
I've spent more than 16 years working in animal care, including a decade managing daycare and boarding facilities and the last 8 years working directly with dogs and their people as a professional trainer.
Those experiences gave me a front-row seat to how we often try to solve dog behavior. I've seen dogs enrolled in more daycare, walked for more miles, exercised harder, trained longer, and given more stimulation in the hope that it would fix the problem. Sometimes it helped. Often, it didn't.
What I kept noticing was that many dogs weren't struggling because they needed more. They were struggling because they needed something different.
More opportunities to decompress. More choice. More rest. More time moving through the world at a pace that felt safe and sustainable. More support learning how to navigate everyday life instead of constantly being asked to perform.
That realization changed the way I train.
Today, my work focuses primarily on puppies and adolescent dogs — helping them build the skills, confidence, and resilience they'll carry into adulthood. Whether we're working on loose leash walking, recall, settling in public, or simply learning how to exist calmly in a busy world, my goal isn't just better behavior. It's helping dogs and their humans build a life that feels good for everyone involved.
Because when a dog's needs are understood and thoughtfully supported, training becomes easier, behavior becomes clearer, and both ends of the leash can breathe a little easier.
My work is grounded in education, ethics, and experience. I am a:
If you’re looking for support that values your dog’s well-being over perfect obedience, you’re in the right place.
