Hi there,
I’m Jenna Slutzky, founder of The Canine Enrichment Co., and I started this work because I believe dogs deserve more than just “being good.” They deserve to feel good — in their bodies, their environments, and their relationships with us.
Over the years, I’ve seen how taking a proactive, enrichment-based approach — one that leans into who each dog actually is — leads to calmer, more connected, better-behaved companions. That with the right kinds of experiences and intentional skill-building, you’ll likely find that you don’t need to train as much as you thought you did. When we meet a dog’s needs through thoughtful structure, breed-appropriate outlets, and real-world skill building, they become more regulated, more connected, and easier to live with — not because they’ve been told what to do, but because they’re finally getting what they need.
With 16 years in the animal care field — including a decade managing daycare and boarding facilities and eight years training dogs and coaching guardians — my work has always centered around improving quality of life for both dogs and the people who love them.
I specialize in puppy development, adolescent dogs, social dogs learning to navigate the real world, and supporting dogs who need a break from overstimulating environments.
My work is grounded in education and ethics. I’m a:
Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP)
Family Dog Mediator
Certified in Applied Animal Behavior through the University of Washington
Fear Free Certified Professional
Pet First Aid & CPR Instructor through PetTech
While I’ve worked extensively with behavior challenges like aggression and reactivity, my focus at The Canine Enrichment Co. is on helping dogs enjoy life more — through purposeful enrichment, proactive support, and thoughtful skill development.
If you're looking for someone to help your dog not just behave better, but feel better, you’re in the right place.
