Hi there,

I’m Jenna Slutzky, founder of The Canine Enrichment Co.

I’ve spent over 16 years working in animal care — including a decade managing daycare and boarding facilities and 8 of those years working directly with dogs and their people as a certified trainer. Across all of it, I kept seeing the same pattern: dogs labeled with “behavior problems” who were actually overstimulated, under-fulfilled, and struggling in environments that didn’t meet their needs.

I’ve watched dogs cycle through busy daycares, endless neighborhood walks, and repetitive games of fetch while their stress increased and their behavior worsened. I worked with families ready to invest thousands in training when what their dog really needed was more space, more choice, more rest, and more time connecting with nature.

That disconnect is what shapes my work.

I focus on puppies and adolescent dogs, social dogs learning how to navigate life outside the house, and dogs who need thoughtful support rather than constant stimulation. My approach prioritizes fulfillment, safety, and real-world skills — because when dogs needs are met, their behavior becomes easier to navigate.
